How Pop Out differs
- On your turn you may drop a disc as normal, or pop one of your OWN discs out of the bottom row.
- When you pop, every disc in that column slides down one place. That can complete a line anywhere in the column, so look before you pop.
- A pop that completes a line for you wins. A pop that only completes your opponent's line loses on the spot, which makes some tempting pops traps.
- The board never truly fills, because pops keep reopening it. Games that go nowhere are drawn at 150 moves.
Pop Out keeps its own ELO pool, so a rating here says nothing about Classic and the two ladders never mix.
