Puzzle #1
Red to move. Find the drop that forces a win.
Solution: drop in column 1
Counting columns from the left and rows from the bottom, red plays column 1. That single drop creates two winning squares at once: column 1 on row 4, and column 2 on row 3.
- If blue blocks column 1, red wins in column 2.
- If blue blocks column 2, red wins in column 1.
- If blue plays anywhere else, red takes either square and wins at once.
This is the double threat from our strategy guide: one move, two winning squares.
